The Great Lakes Plaza stretches between the many academic buildings in the south section of the Allendale Campus. Academic buildings including Lake Michigan Hall, Lake Huron Hall, Au Sable Hall, Lake Superior Hall, Zumberge Hall, and Lake Ontario Hall are located in this area.

The buildings are home to numerous academic departments and centers including the Barbara and Stuart Padnos International Center, Robert and Mary Pew Faculty Teaching and Learning Center, Fred Meijer Center for Writing and Michigan Authors, Writing Department, Women and Gender Studies Department, and Center for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education.

Holton-Hooker Learning and Living Center is the latest addition to Grand Valley\u2019s cutting-edge living centers.

Featuring cluster-style living, which offers smaller person-to-bathroom ratios than our traditional-style options, Holton-Hooker is especially popular with underclassmen and Frederik Meijer Honors College students due to its status as a learning-living center, having an Einstein Bros.

The P. Douglas Kindschi Hall of Science is a 151,720-square-foot science building on the Allendale Campus.

Our newest addition. The Laker Letters began as a student life project for a special event, placed on the lawn between the Mary Idema Pew Library and Lubbers Student Services center, where they became a photo attraction for students.

They were made of foam and eventually had to be retired, but were soon missed by the campus community. It was agreed that a permanent replacement was in order. The letters will now be a mainstay on the Allendale campus and can be enjoyed for years to come.

Located on the Allendale Campus, Mackinac Hall is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Computing and Information Systems.

It contains classrooms, offices, study areas, and conference rooms.

Manitou Hall includes a large computer lab and Institutional Technology office on the upper level and academic classrooms on the lower level.

The Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons is the intellectual hub of the Allendale Campus.

This state-of-the-art building is a prototype for 21st century learning, with an innovative and student-focused design.

The Fieldhouse is a multipurpose facility and home to championship Laker teams in both men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball.

While used as the training and competition center for Laker athletics, the arena is also used for concerts, lectures, student life events, many other miscellaneous local and regional events, as well as recreation and club sport activities.

The surroundings of Lubbers Stadium have changed almost yearly and add to the overall festivities that are a part of a Laker football Saturday during the fall.

GVSU led the nation in attendance for the seventh consecutive year in 2018, averaging 11,104 fans.

In 2017 the Lakers set a single-season, school-record average of 13,342 for five home dates.

GVSU set a single-season, school-record total of 100,388 for eight home games in 2016, including a single-game attendance mark with 16,889 versus Ferris State.

The Arend and Nancy Lubbers Student Services Center is one of the first buildings many Grand Valley students visit on the Allendale Campus, whether as prospective students or enrolled Lakers.

The building combines a variety of services under one roof, including Admissions, Financial Aid, the Dean of Students Office, and Registrar\u2019s Office, as well as the Student Assistance Center, combining the services of academic records, registration, cashier, and graduation audit.\u00a0

Within the building is the state-of-the-art Laker Experience Suite is a welcoming reception area for meeting and greeting prospective students and parents.

The Alumni House and 访问or Center is near the main entrance on the north end of the Allendale Campus.

The Cook Carillon Tower was built in 1994 and named after longtime Grand Valley donors Peter and Pat Cook.

The tower is the most iconic structure on Grand Valley\u2019s Allendale Campus and likely the most recognized structure at Grand Valley.

The Cook Carillon Tower contains 48 bronze bells created in the Netherlands. The size and weight of each bell determines the individual tones.

The bells range from 7.5 inches to more than 51 inches and weigh from 14 to nearly 3,000 pounds.
